Foster Cows
We work closely with Norsemen Farm, the largest Wagyu Beef Ranch in the state of NY. This year they had 2 babies- Lorraine and Michael Jordan, that were rejected by their mothers and were getting bottle fed twice per day up at the big farm. To take one thing off Farmer Jeff's very busy day, we are taking in the baby cows until they are weaned. So twice a day feedings every day until fall. They are so cute and we are so happy to have them here.

Who We Are
Get to know all about Rookie's Gamble Farm - what we do, our mission and our history.
Rookie's Gamble Farm is a year-round Farm that offers locals a variety of fresh farm products, produce and family friendly events. We specialize in Fruits and Vegetables, Fresh Herbs and Honey, as well as Pork, Lamb, and Pig products!

We are part of a co-op that includes Norseman Farm in Granville NY, which specializes in grassfed cow and Fullblood Wagyu and the Battlefield Farm Trail, A coop of local farm stands working together to promote agrotourism in Saratoga County.

Pigs
Momma Pig is solo on the farm right now, but the chickens are making sure to keep her company.
Milk Goats
Ginger is out newest girl. She is the first Oberhausli Goat on the farm. She produces over 1 gallon of milk per day. We milk her twice per day, every day. We make cheese, yogurt and custard daily to keep up with her production. And we drink a LOT of chocolate milk!
Sheep and Lambs
2020 was our first year with lambs. Born in late march, these little guys arrived at the farm at two months old.
As of 2024 we have over 20 dorper sheep, which are prized for their high quality meat.
We had over 10 babies this year. Romes, our ram, is a very proud daddy
